Child survivors of trauma are often limited in their ability to talk about the hard things that happened. In the TraumaPlay℠ model, children are invited to show us their traumatic experience through the play therapy process. This hour will be spent discussing the specific playroom tools that children gravitate towards in the continuum of disclosure and the roles of the play therapist in this process. Play therapy interventions that invite play-based glimpses and snapshots of the trauma will be offered as well as multiple case examples.
