Please join us for our 3 day LIVE online training April 14-16, 2023 | Friday and Saturday 8am-4pm and Sunday 8am -2:45pm Central Standard Time (US and Canada)
Do you need more tools for integrating parents, teachers, and other caregivers more deeply into your play therapy practice? This three day training will offer 20 hours of continuing education in the flexibly sequential play therapy model TraumaPlay™. While all seven key components of the model will be visited during this training, there will be a deep dive into how to more effectively incorporate caregivers as Safe Bosses, as Co-regulators, and as Storykeepers. We will also dive deeply into how to work with idiosyncratic trauma symptoms such as Child Sexual Behavior Problems (CSBP) and anxiety induced symptoms, marked by avoidance, control, or rigidity (OCD, separation anxiety, phobias). Play therapy interventions for boundaries work and play-based exposure/ response prevention strategies will be shared. Excerpts from the Tackling Touchy Subjects workbook as well as excerpts from the Worry Wars curriculum will be offered, ensuring that clinicians leave with immediately useful tools to enhance their own clinical practice.
Bringing clinical nuance to all TraumaPlay components of the model will help clinicians go deeper in their application of treatment components to a variety of clinical presentations. Topics that will get the deepest dive:
Clinical use of the NHDA (Nurture House Dyadic Assessment)
Growing Safe Boss Behavior in Parents
Cultivating co-regulation skills in caregivers
